I grew up in small neighborhood with three brothers and lots of neighborhood pals, with most days filled with outdoor adventures and play. I loved being a kid and I always easily related to kids. I babysat a ton, volunteered and worked with children both typical and special needs, I have raised three children, and even have a new grandson.
I love connecting with family and friends, spending time in nature, and being creative. I paint, tile, and am always taking on an artsy or innovative project. I enjoy solving problems, am a team builder and love talking about the complexities of raising kids.
I have a Bachelors in Physical Therapy from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY, a Masters in Administrative Science from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, and a Certificate in Decorative Design from Rhode Island School of Design.
My work experience spans from being a Physical Therapist at ARC (a dedicated school for special needs students) to rotating through multiple specialties at Johns Hopkins Hospital, to working as the orthopedic supervisor at Braintree Rehabilitation Center, then Assistant Director and Director, including rehab and community hospitals. I’ve worked in the school system, been a consultant, taught training courses and a college class, as well as being a Department Head for multiple medical specialties. I’ve owned my own business and spent the last few years painting, tiling, writing and caring for family.
